About SOLT

hat is the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity?

The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity is a community of disciples of Jesus and Mary composed of all vocations: priests, deacons, brothers, sisters and single and married laity. The Society was founded in 1958 and has been approved by Rome as a Society of Apostolic Life.

What is the purpose of the Society?

We give glory and honor to the Most Holy Trinity by bringing as many people as possible into the Covenant Communion of the Most Holy Trinity through their Encounter with the Living Jesus Christ.

What are the Ecclesial Teams?

Ecclesial Teams are the basis of our community life as well as the means by which our missions are staffed. A complete Ecclesial Team is composed of at least one priest, religious and lay person or married couple.

What is special about Ecclesial Teams?

Ecclesial Teams are a unique characteristic of the Society and demonstrate in a visible way the fact that all members of Christ's Body are called to be priestly people. Ecclesial Teams are places of collaborative ministry and active Apostolate among the mutually complimentary vocations of Christ's Church. But they are more than that; the Ecclesial Teams of the Society of Our Lady are marked by graced friendships, a common life of prayer and each individual's calling to be a Disciple of Jesus and Mary.

What areas does the Society of Our Lady serve?

Currently, SOLT has missions in about sixteen countries including England, the Philippines, Thailand, China, Belize, Guatemala, Haiti and Mexico. There are several missions in the United States, including a mission for Native Americans in North Dakota, work with migrant farm workers in the Midwest, several parishes and the SOLT Family Ecclesial Team in Georgia. Our Lady of Corpus Christi, located in Corpus Christ, Texas, was founded by SOLT in 1998. The apostolic works of the Society vary depending upon the needs of the people. These include drug rehabilitation, parish work, education at all levels, work with the destitute, health care, radio evangelization and an orphanage.

Who are we?   We are:
  1. Trinitarian:  We exist to give honor and glory to the Most Holy Trinity, to exalt His majesty, and to manifest His greatness.

  2. Marian:  As the Virgin gave birth to Jesus, she also gave birth to the Society of Our Lady by bestowing the vision upon Fr. James Flanagan for her Society which was founded in 1958, and she continues to guide and protect us today.

  3. Catholic : As loyal and loving members of Christ and His Vicar on earth, the Pope, we are faithful to the Magisterium and devoted to the Holy Eucharist.

  4. Missionary:  We serve those in the deepest apostolic need in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Haiti, United States, England, Italy, Thailand, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and those we encounter each and every day.

  5. Family:  We are a family of Vocations manifested by Ecclesial Teams of Priests, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters, Single Laity and Families serving together in the missions while striving to witness the Trinitarian life of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our daily relationships with one another and those we serve.

Working together to build up the Kingdom of Christ.
