Philippines

Luzon. An Ecclesial Team of Our Lady’s Society was first sent in the year 1975 to the Diocese of Legaspi to serve on Cagaray Island which is located off the coast of Southeast Luzon. At that time, the island had no permanent priest. It was served once a year only by Bishop Timoteo Pacis. The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity was assigned by Bishop Pacis to establish the first parish (Sacred Heart) on the island. This work quickly spread to three other islands: San Miguel, Bataan and Rapu Rapu. Today, there are over 20 apostolic missions in the Luzon Region. One example of the ongoing apostolic work is found in the Holy Cross Parish. This parish was established in the area of Metro Manila Novali. There are many specialized apostolates in all of the missions of the region serving: family life, children, social development, primary schooling, and New Evangelization. From this region, we see also a special apostolate to vocations. Countless vocations to the priesthood, consecrated spouses of Christ and Lay Faithful witnessing their service as Lay Apostles have come from these missions in the Philippines.

China

Macau. Philippine migrants have gone for years to numerous countries throughout Asia and the World. The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity serves these migrants in their great needs. In Macau, China, the SOLT Ecclesial Team is present in the city of Macau . Future plans are in development to continue to serve the needs of the Philippine migrants throughout the various countries of Asia.

Thailand

Chumbung. In the year 1978, Our Lady’s Society established a mission in the Diocese of Ratchaburi, Thailand. The mission located in the city of Cheubombung focused on establishing a Rebirth Center which served the needs of men in chemical dependency. Shortly after the establishment of this Rebirth Center, the Apostolic Pro Nuncio for the Catholic Church in Thailand was asked to enter into the work of rehabilitation by the Government of Thailand. The Pro Nuncio saw a wonderful opportunity to combine the mission activities of Our Lady’s Society with the needs of the people and the government request. From that time on, the Pro Nuncio formally reported the missionary activity of The Society to the government. All parties were pleased with the fruitful results of these efforts. This service in mission then was extended into the Diocese of Chonburi, where a second Rebirth Center was built that would care for the needs of women in addiction. Two additional centers were then established in the city of Bangkok for abandoned men and women who were afflicted with the disease of AIDS. Finally, another center was opened in the city of Sirachi which would care for young women from poor families of the rural areas of Thailand. Many vocations within Our Lady’s Society to the life of Consecrated Spouses are resulting from these apostolic works. The Church is a witness to new life and rebirth of many of our brothers and sisters in Thailand. Today, Our Lady’s Ecclesial Team continues these apostolic works and rejoices over the future potential of witnessing many more lives saved.
