G

reetings of Peace and Blessings,

We continue to look to the Holy Family as the model of communion of persons, it is but fitting to express, as one family, our deepest thanks and gratitude to the Most Holy Trinity for all the blessings and graces He has continued to bestowed on us as a community. In the midst of our experiences of joy and sorrow, laughter and sadness, victories and pains, we know that the hand of God has always been there showing us that beyond the vicissitudes of the present, there is always the hope of the future. Without any umbra of doubt, each new year has been fruitful for all of us. It is to my contention that life must go on. Without any doubt, trials and failures make us more humble, make us cling to the only source of everything – God, and make us realize our own nothingness. And yet, we must continue to respond to our own individual calling to give ourselves more fully to God, to his Church and to his mission.

Working for the people of God, especially those in areas of deepest needs has always been our goal. Sometimes, we tend to be taken by some of the trials that we experienced as a family, either in relationships or the lack of personnel and financial resources. But we all know, no matter how limited we are, no matter how incapacitated we might be, we always have that hope and strength that could only come from God. We know that we are always limited in our own capacities that sometimes water down our enthusiasm to pursue our goals and dreams, but this should not hinder us from becoming more faithful and committed to our SOLT vision of "BRINGING ALL PEOPLES IN UNION WITH THE MOST HOLY TRINITY THROUGH THE DISCIPLESHIP OF JESUS AND MARY".

Just like the Blessed Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, our own poverty, our own incapacities and limitations can become a hymn of praise and thanksgiving, for it is only in our nothingness that God is exalted. Jesus was born in a manger and such poverty expresses the magnitude of God. Mary, in her simplicity and humility, has been proclaimed by the angel as "full of grace". The angel Gabriel called her: "CHAIRE CHECHARITOMENE" Greek word for " Hail Full of Grace". Joseph is rich in his faithfulness to God as a righteous man. He works hard for the sustenance of his family. In this way, we found greatness in our own nothingness, for God is all the more proclaimed.

In our SOLT Family, God is manifested in this: that in our own little ways, we just continue to be faithful and committed to our calling and to our vision as a community. We might not have riches of the world nor the wisdom of the sages, but putting together all the qualities and giftedness that each one of us has, we can realize the goal and vision that we have as a family.

May the Holy Family move and inspire us in our mission and apostolate and all our Ecclesial teams in the regions where we are assigned.
