“Come and See” Jesus said to the first disciples, “Come and see”. He says this to you today. The Holy Spirit leads, moves and guides each person in the process of discerning a priestly vocation. Are you a person who is open to the light of the Holy Spirit, guided by him in holiness, hope and joy? Are you being called to oneness in Jesus, the Eternal High Priest and to his One Priesthood? Are you willing to live the Holy Gospels to bring all your brothers and sisters to the Father’s Plan for them? Are you a man who is faithful to the Magisterium of the Church, has Christ in the Eucharist as the center of his life and has chosen to be a Disciple of Jesus and Mary?The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity is actively discerning Priest-Leaders who will serve in Ecclesial Teams consisting of Priests, those in Consecrated Life and the Lay Faithful. If you are called it would be a privilege to serve you in this discernment. We invite you in the name of Jesus, “Come and See.” Consecrated Brothers Knowledge and intimacy of Christ, or brotherhood with him, is another expression of the Church's timeless patrimony of the sequitur Chrisit, or following of Christ. Some men are called to be brothers in the Lord, to reveal in their very personhood and calling, the oneness the Lord Jesus has with all peoples and with every person through a religious consecration and public profession of the promises of obedience, poverty, and chastity.In the Society of Our Lady, candidates to both the priesthood and consecrated brotherhood share some years of formation, including candidacy, novitiate, and some years of human and apostolic formation. The reason for this is that the foundation even of the priesthood is community life in fraternity, in which the men discover the deep bond of communion, of which David wrote, "How good and how pleasant it is when brothers live in unity" (Psalm 133:1). |
