Consecrated Life
The Consecrated Life brings one into the Communion in the Father through the Son by the Holy Spirit. This brings about his love and goodness to the
People of God. It witnesses the transcendence of the Kingdom of God over all earthly things in that the consecrated person serving in the Church and the world
witnesses the surpassing greatness of Christ the King and the boundless love of the Holy Spirit.
Consecrated Life makes visible the manifestation of the greatness of God in all his works. It is a transfigured life in oneness with Jesus. It proclaims the
wonders of grace accomplished by the Lord in those whom he loves. Their living of the spirit of the Evangelical Counsels brings them to confess in oneness a
loving communion of the Trinitarian life of Jesus. They come to the holiness to which God has called them, to be holy as the Lord your God is
holy (Cf. Matthew 5: 48 NAB). The consecrated person comes to and becomes a living witness of the Communion of the love of the Son for the Father in the
Holy Spirit.
- As spouses of Christ, Consecrated Sisters are a reflection of the Trinitarian life; giving honor and glory to God, living in the Evangelical Counsels, giving witness in relationship to the Most Holy Trinity as the source of all holiness.
- Consecrated Brothers help heal the People of God in the world who are broken, divided, set against one another and are in great need – serving with Jesus as our Older Brother, in one family of Our Father.
- Consecrated Widows/Widowers witness the fullness of the life of Our Lady. She as a Consecrated Widow became one with Jesus in his public life – living his Paschal Mystery until his Ascension to the Father.
- Consecrated Virgins in the World look to Our Lady as the first and best Disciple of Jesus in his apostolic life to fulfill the Divine Plan of Our Father with great hope and joy.
- Consecrated Hermits/Hermitesses witness the solitude of Jesus and Mary. In solitude, there is always an apostolic expression. The solitude of the Hermit/Hermitesses of The Society of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity is lived in solidarity with those in active mission life.
The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity is actively discerning those persons who are called to the Consecrated Life. If you believe you are called
to one of the witnesses of Consecrated Life: Either as a Consecrated Sister, a Consecrated Brother, a Consecrated Widow/Widower, a
Consecrated Virgin in the world or as a Consecrated Hermit/Hermitesses, then Our Lady’s Society would be privileged to serve you in this discernment.
