Relationship of the Missionaries of Mercy within the Society

J
esus Christ came as The Suffering Servant. Just as the priests are one with Christ in relationship to His Priesthood, so they are in his sufferings. In this way, they become one with him. You as a Missionary of Mercy called from God to join with the seminarian and priest members of The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity by offering your suffering for them, are also one with Christ in His suffering. This offering of unity in suffering makes you one with Jesus in his suffering within The Society of Our Lady.

At baptism, each person is baptized into all the gifts of Jesus. This includes sharing the priesthood, prophetic life, and the kingship of Jesus. When you were baptized, you received a share in the priesthood of Jesus in baptism. Each Missionary of Mercy may see himself/herself as linked to the priesthood of Jesus Christ through his/her baptism and in this manner – each Missionary of Mercy is able to unite their sufferings with those of Christ. In your Baptism you are able to offer your suffering up to Jesus Christ. Thus you are able to identify with Christ in each moment of your lives. The Society of Our Lady wants you to see that the membership of the Missionaries of Mercy is a wonderful way to live the priesthood of your baptism and to be one in Christ.

Each person within the Membership of the Missionaries of Mercy is called in a personal way to unite their great sufferings to those of Christ for the specific intention of interceding for a seminarian or priest member of The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. Thus they become one with Jesus as The Suffering Servant. In oneness with Jesus, Eternal High Priest, each member of the Missionaries of Mercy is united to Jesus as The Suffering Servant and each Missionary of Mercy is able to live in a way pleasing to our Heavenly Father as Jesus was.
