Communion
od first in himself lives in the (Covenant) Communion of the Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When God decided he was going to create outside
of himself, he willed to create in the Communion of the Most Holy Trinity that he is within himself. Communion is the magnificent plan of God, Our Father, for all
of creation and in a personal manner for all humanity. When God Creates outside of himself – he wills to create in this very same Communion. Therefore, when
God created Adam and Eve, he created them in this Communion that he has within himself.
In the Sacred Scriptures, Adam and Eve were created it says, in the image and likeness of God (Cf. Genesis 1:27 NAB) and the Scriptures further tell us that God
walked with them in the Garden in the cool of the evening (Cf. Genesis 3:8 NAB). However, man’s sin broke the original blessing of Communion with God and
with one another. God the Father then asked Jesus to restore the Communion that was lost. Jesus Christ said, “Yes, Father.” And when Jesus came, he said to
us – as Scripture indicates, “You can now call God, Abba Father” (Cf. Romans 8:15) because Jesus had fully restored our Communion with him
(CCC #2801, #1489, #2205 ).
The Holy Spirit works without ceasing to establish this Communion and to heal the brokenness of lost Communion. This prepares us to come to the Eternal
Communion, when we are taken by the Triune God into eternal life. God lives in Communion. He creates in Communion. He restores us to this very same
Communion and then he takes us into the Eternal Communion of the Most Holy Trinity when he takes us to himself. In heaven, we are going to live in the
Communion of the Most Holy Trinity for all eternity. This is the plan of God Our Father. We can see that this relational plan is based upon the Communion that is
the Most Holy Trinity.
Jesus’ life is Trinitarian and his life brings us back to the Communion of the Trinity. What is most important is that we all understand and come to this plan of our
Father for our Communion in Eternal Life. This plan is centered in God. God gifts this plan to all humanity at every moment of time because God is Communion.
Humanity, each person, comes from God. God created us for Himself. We exist for him. He sustains us in existence and brings us to return to him. He wants us
to manifest his honor and glory – the exultation of his majesty and the manifestation of his greatness.
